CTHCG Founding Member Eli Branscome MA, LPCS, LCAS, CSI He/Him/His
Eli helps teens and adults re-define identity. This often involves significant changes in what one believes about self, family, society, and spirituality. Life’s meaning and purpose is encapsulated by beliefs—the rules that guide us. Sometimes being happy requires one to break some rules. Clients are encouraged to examine beliefs and to decide which are functional and worth keeping, which are flawed and require alteration, and which are dysfunctional and warrant discarding. This approach to counseling examines emotional hoarding and the process of examining thoughts, identifying feelings, and assessment of behaviors. When thinking, feeling, and acting are in balance, clients can discover more rewarding and meaningful lives.
